"A beloved figure in the annals of musical Americana and one of the first Mexican-Americans to crack the country charts, Freddy Fender scored a huge hit in 1959 with the classic "Wasted Days and Wasted Nights". Legal troubles sidelined Fender until the early 1970s when he reemerged as a chart force offering a smooth blend of American roots music that incorporated country, blues, Cajun music, and Mexican border sounds. In the early 1990s Fender, along with Lone Star music legends Doug Sahm, Augie Meyers, and Flaco Jimenez, formed the Tex-Mex supergroup the Texas Tornados. The group released several albums together, and Fender continued to perform solo until his death in 2006. I hope you will download it. "Once, country artists used Christmas albums as an opportunity to create versions of holiday classics suitable for airplay on country radio. In the late '90s, country artists used holiday albums as an opportunity to stretch artistically--and that usually meant recording with a full orchestra. Martina McBride's "White Christmas", her first holiday collection, is a fine example of this trend. It finds McBride, a singer of astonishing talent and power, cradling her amazing voice in lush orchestral arrangements which occasionally, as on a track like "Let It Snow", turn whimsical. The material here is strictly classic Christmas, from secular favorites like "Silver Bells", and "I'll Be Home For Christmas" to religious ones like "What Child Is This" and "Away In A Manger". In an attempt to mimic classic Christmas albums of the past, there's a vocal choir on many tracks, but McBride's voice is so breathtaking that you find yourself wishing they'd just be quiet and let her do all the singing. Thankfully, on the standout track, "O Holy Night", the arranger wisely lets her soaring vocals go solo. "White Christmas" true appeal is the warmth and emotion McBride manages to bring to Christmas standards the listener has heard countless times. Enjoy!......at 320.0 kb/sec!"
"Maintaining their position as one of the most popular bands in country music since the heyday of Alabama, Diamond Rio release their first Christmas album, "The Star Still Shines: A Diamond Rio Christmas". Starting off with the band-penned title track, the set then glides into more familiar territory with popular standards such as "The Christmas Song", "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing" and "I'll Be Home for Christmas". Somewhat surprisingly, they finish the set with an instrumental from Vince Guaraldi's classic score for the television special "A Charlie Brown Christmas", you're going to love it! I hope you will download it. Enjoy!......at 320.0 kb/sec!"
"This is Christmas music at its best. It is awesomely beautiful. It's one of our favorite CD's and one of the first that we play every year. This CD creates an upbeat, happy, and peaceful Christmas mood. The songs are sung by Various Artists in Various Languages. The music is played in a traditional way. There is nothing fancy, jazzy, or new age about these arrangements. It's just wonderful Christmas music. The vocals are great, so it is perfect to sing along if you like. "The "Last Christmas" of the Wham! it has been one of the greatest and loving Christmas songs ovet the last 20 years and beyond. The piece was written by George Michael and here is offered in a new dance mode. Between the list of the singers are also the Wham! with a little but successful remix. Between the other vesions they detach that one of the Rap All Stars, excessive "yo! yo!", but discreet in its kind; excessive and boring the "Acoustic Version" of Jamelia (absolutely outside place in this compilation) therefore not too impressed. "Since its formation in 1987, the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra has been in constant demand in the UK and abroad. Everyone seems to want their performances and recordings of classical, light classical and popular music. Spend a traditional holiday with Joyous Christmas, which contains lush yet tasteful orchestral renditions of seasonal favorites including "Joy To The World", "It Came Upon A Midnight Clear", "O Come, O Come Emmanuel" and "Away In A Manger". "This is my oldest record. I believe this record dates from some 50+ years ago. It's George Feyer's "Echoes Of Christmas" (Vox VX 25010, 1955). Download it and you will really be amazed. It's twinkly, cocktail lounge piano music, and it all runs together. So you're getting two tracks, side one and side two. I didn't know what to expect when I got this, but I really loved that cover. Turns out that George Feyer made a whole series of albums through his career, all called Echoes Of something. It makes great background music, or if you happen to own a shop, you're going to love it! I hope you will download it. Enjoy!......at 320.0 kb/sec!"
"Celtic Woman: Orla Fallon (vocals, harp); Chloe Agnew, Meav Ni Mhaolchatha, Lisa Kelly (vocals); Mairead Nesbitt (fiddle). Their 2005 debut album stayed at number one in the Billboard World Music Chart for a record-breaking 68 weeks, and they won over the world with their breathtaking harmonies and exciting live shows. To follow up on this success, Mairead, Meav, Orla, Lisa, and Chloe went into the studio to record a collection of classic Christmas songs (including "O Holy Night," "Silent Night," and "The Little Drummer Boy") sung with an extra dollop of poignancy and good humor. "One of the best renditions of Christmas music I have heard in a long time. Richard Clayderman plays with heart. That's my music.Richard Clayderman, is a really a great, he is a master when it comes to playing music. He is very famous all around the world as one of the greatest musicians. His music brings you to another dimension. Far away from any load music, that can be really disturbing sometimes (except Friday and Saturday nights), this kind of music puts you in a quite environment where you can think contemplate and therefore solve. Download and relax with this lovely piano Easy Acoustic Listening. Enjoy!......at 320.0 kb/sec!"
"Andre Rieu is a beloved star in continental Europe and thanks to Public Television, he's become a household name in the United States as well. He seems to have a variety of fans from straight classical lovers to pop music lovers and all sorts of fans in between. The reason for his appeal is easy. He's a great musician and knows a thing or two about showmanship and it seems to have an appeal. He combines the world of classical music, opera, Broadway, and pop culture and comes up with an entertaining blend of music not all that unlike his idol, Johann Strauss who did similar musical tricks in his day. My guess is that this will be a popular selection this holiday season and in the years to come. Since Rieu is true to tradition while having a contemporary appeal, Rieu's Christmas music could be regarded like the Christmas collections by the Boston Pops under the direction of Arthur Fielder and become as familiar as some of these classic arrangements.
